Bleach London Silver Shampoo and Conditioner: The Review

Sunday 4 March 2018

I am one of those people who is unfortunately "blessed" with brassy undertones, and as someone who likes their hair to be blonde a f to the point of basically silver, I will try literally any product to try and rid my hair of these undertones.

I used the Provoke shampoo and conditioner, for ages, but it never quite mopped up ALL of the undertones. I then tried Lush Daddy-O Shampoo and conditioner bar. Although the shampoo worked to an extent, the bar was a bit of a pain to store and didn't leave my hair as soft as other conditioners do. So, I was in a bit of a quandary until I read about Bleach London.

I decided to give four products in total a try: their Silver Shampoo, Silver Conditioner, Smoky Shampoo and their Hair Elixir, as pictured above, and give them a review for you all to read.

The Silver Shampoo

I personally have been won over by this shampoo. It doesn't take forever to tone my hair and achieves the results I want. It mops up all of the brassy undertones that I have and leaves me with a shiny, perfectly even result. I love it!

The Silver Conditioner

As mentioned, I wasn't over the moon at the Lush conditioner bar in the end so this conditioner surprised me. It didn't have a particularly strong sent but it was thick and creamy (what you want in a conditioner I suppose!!) and it left my hair smooth and didn't weigh my hair down. A winner in my book.

Smoky Shampoo

This shampoo promises to give a dirty blonde kind of look, so I gave it a bash. The first time I used this, I applied as per the instructions on the bottle- but I'm not sure I quite appreciated how quickly my hair takes to colour. It's safe to say, I gave myself a purple rinse. Even my boss asked if I'd be buying a house in the new assisted living housing which is being built. LOL. In all seriousness though, it washed out in a few washes, and I have used it since and it does give a really lovely smoky blonde colour. I'd recommend but be cautious with the amount of time you apply it for or hello 80!!!

Hair Elixir

I find toning my hair can leave my hair quite brittle, so this elixir is a little drop (or 300) of heaven. I put one full pipette of elixir between my palms and run it through roughly towel dried hair, before finishing with the hair dryer. I cannot tell you how much of god-send this product is. I will be buying this product for life, undoubtedly. It left my hair silky smooth and free of fly-aways.

Overall, despite my little snarfoo with the Smoky Shampoo/Purple Rinse gate, I would definitely repurchase these products. They aren't the cheapest products in the market, but they certainly aren't the most expensive but they deliver results which is the main aim of the game.

You can buy Bleach London products from Boots or directly from the Bleach London website.

Have you tried any Bleach London products? I'd love to hear from you!

XOXO Molly

  1. Good review despite the very strange comment about assisted living accommodation, would recommend editing that out
