Travel Bucket List: Asia Edition
Sunday 29 October 2017 • Travel
A whole two months have rolled by and I have not been abroad, which makes me incredibly sad. It's cold outside and I just wanted to be in warmer, sunnier climes. I have the travel bug and I HAVE to go somewhere so I'm currently looking into destinations for next years holiday! I have previously lived in both South Korea and China and I consider South Korea my second home and I'll always have an affinity with Asia. Therefore I thought it fitting for the second installment of my travel bucket list to be an Asia edition so, sit back and have a read about the wonderful places I want to visit in Asia!
i. Bali, Indonesia- Supposedly breathtaking and I've always wanted to visit.
ii. Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam- full of history and culture, this has been on my bucket list for years.
iii. Siem Reap, Cambodia- another city full of history and culture. I'd love to travel round both Cambodia and Vietnam.
iv. Xi'An, China- the home of the Terracotta Army, and I've always wanted to see it.
v. Bangkok, Thailand- another city, full of culture and I'd love to try traditional Thai street food.
vi. Singapore- supposedly very clean and I want to have a Singapore Sling at the Raffles Hotel.
vii. Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia- I've always wanted to go to Mongolia, as I've flown over it so many times. I also want to go to the Genghis Khan Training Camp (and have ever since my Mum mentioned it years ago!)
viii. Beijing, China- although I lived in Shanghai, I never got to see the Great Wall of China.. so I want to go and see it.
ix. Ko Samui, Thailand- supposedly breathtaking!
x. Tokyo, Japan- a metropolis and I want to go to see the interweaving of traditional Japanese culture with new technologies. I also want to see where tech is headed.
The pictures throughout this post are from my various Asian adventures as I don't have any photos (yet!) of the places that I want to go!

Halloween Lush Haul
Monday 23 October 2017 • Beauty
In the name of blog research, I ordered a fair few products (both Halloween and ordinary!) and decided to give them each a little review and rating out of 5 stars.
I've reviewed the ordinary products in more detail below, and for the more detailed reviews on the Halloween products, head over to Dainty Alice where I've written a guest post!
Daddy-O Shampoo
First up, we need to talk about the fact that this shampoo smells like PARMA VIOLETS which is absolutely fantastic. It leaves my hair smelling good all day (or several days, depending on how lazy I am) and leaves it feeling clean and fresh. I have blonde hair, admittedly, from the bottle, so the purple colour of the shampoo also tones my hair and gets rid of nasty brassiness. I've used this product for about a year and I would definitely repurchase!
Daddy-O Solid Conditioner
This was a new buy for me. I was a little bit sceptical of a conditioner in a bar. I am the sort of person who likes to drench their hair in conditioner and have previously used Tigi. However, I like my shampoo and conditioner to match (a touch of OCD) so I made the leap and bought the bar. I'm going to tell you right now, I love this. It helps me to limit my use of conditioner and again also smells fantastic and like parma violets!
Honey Lip Scrub
I've mentioned in previous posts that I suffer from incredibly dry lips thanks to my latest obsession of matte liquid lipsticks so lip scrubs are high on my priority right now. I jumped at the chance to give both the naked lip scrub and the more traditional lip scrub in a pot. I enjoyed using this lip scrub because it smells absolutely amazing and does the job that it claims to on the pot, leaving me with soft lips. However, I found the product quite difficult to access because of the size of the pot and the length of my acrylics. Maybe I should just get my acrylics cut down!
The Big Sleep Jelly Bomb
I AM OBSESSED WITH LUSH JELLY BOMBS. I think they're a fantastic invention and I love how soft they make my skin feel. I've had trouble sleeping recently and so I was automatically drawn to something which will make me sleep. It smelt amazing, and if I'm honest- straight after my soak, I got into bed and slept from 9pm until 7am the next day. BEST SLEEP EVER.
Intergalactic Bath Bomb
A fantastic bath bomb and makes you feel like you're floating in a galaxy. I was mainly drawn to this product because of the bright colours, and I saw it being tested on the Southampton Lush instagram. The only thing I would say is the smell of peppermint is incredibly strong, luckily, I had a cold and it helped clear it but I'm not sure I'd buy it ordinarily.
The star rating for the Halloween products are as seen below!
Monsters Ball Bath Bomb
Black Rose Naked Lip Scrub
Sparkly Pumpkin Bubble Bar
Pink Pumpkin Bubble Bar
Goth Fairy Shimmer Bar
What are your favourite Lush products? Have you used any of the ordinary products or halloween products? Let me know! Have a fantastic Halloween!
