Wonderland Make Up Review
Wednesday 31 January 2018 • Beauty
Wonderland Make Up recently contacted me with the opportunity to test out some of their products, and being a make up hoarder/ aficionado, I jumped at the chance!
If you've not heard of Wonderland Make Up, they offer premium but affordable, UK produced and cruelty free make up. They sent me four products to try out, one of their loose pigments, a lash lengthening fibre mascara, a blusher and their studio finish primer and I will review each of these below! In general, all of their products are economic and the design of them and the packaging is all very similar and in keeping with the brand image which is something I love! They also look very professional and are all affordable.
Studio Finish Primer
This was undoubtedly my favourite product out of the four. Let me tell you know, this is a dupe of the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer. It is fantastic! It's a great consistency and the packaging is super ergonomic. It is a great base, helps my foundation to look flawless and most importantly, helps my make up stay in place all day. I have actually started wearing this primer over my beloved Smashbox and at only £15 it's a snip of the price for the same, if not better product.
I'm not going to lie, I struggle with mascaras which means I usually stick to my old faithfuls- Clinique High Impact Mascara or Urban Decay Troublemaker Mascara. I have sensitive eyes and find that loads make my eyes stream but with this mascara by Wonderland, my eyes didn't stream and it certainly ticked all the boxes and did what it claimed to do. It lengthened my eyelashes without going clumpy, which is a massive YES in my book. At £11.50 it's fairly inexpensive and it does an amazing job!
Blush
This product could not have come at a better time, I had just finished a blush and I was looking for a replacement, so this one from Wonderland Make Up has become a firm fixture in my make up bag. The shade I was sent was subtle and suited my skin fabulously (thanks guys!) but not only that, it also shares my name as it is called the Molly Blush! Wonderland Make Up do have an incredible range of different shades, so I'd recommend checking these blushes out and for only £10 you can definitely afford two or three!
Loose Pigment
I'm so impressed with this pigment! I used it in the colour, AG Silver and I'm definitely on board. I used it with my Mac Prep + Prime to use it as an eyeshadow, and I'm definitely going to purchase in more colours. Looking at their website and their huge range of pigments, I'm definitely going to order in 24k Gold, Black and Gold, Ells Bells, Golden Brown, Sin, Honeylove, Sinner, The Temptress and The Coppering (to name a few of the ones I've decided I'm obsessed with) and they're super affordable at only £6.50 each!
Overall, I was super impressed with all the products I tried and tested, and as you can see, some of them are now firm daily products! I'm definitely going to test their lipsticks, studio finish foundation and pressed eyeshadows next!
Make sure your visit their Instagram and Twitter!
What would you be your favourite product? Have you ever had tried Wonderland Make Up? What did you think? Let me know!

Please note, the lovely people of Wonderland Make Up invited me to try out their amazing products and provided them to me free of charge, but all views and opinions expressed are my own.
Why I Took A Blogging Break
Sunday 28 January 2018 • Other
Although my recent resolutions post stated I'd try to continue blogging once a week, recently I've been very relaxed on the blogging front, and I'm not going to lie, but January has been so hectic that something had to give. So, I thought I'd write a post to explain why I've been MIA, a quick apology to the brands who I'm in the process of working with (posts will be up in due course, I promise!) and to say that I'm back!
As many of you know, I am currently studying towards my Marketing masters, full time, whilst also working in an office. Just before Christmas, unfortunately, something happened at my work which meant that I had to take on a lot more hours and tasks than I was previously. Plus, Christmas is a time when you meet up with literally EVERYONE, all your friends and family and so it was a super hectic time.
I realised I was in trouble when I had 4 essays and 2 exams to do whilst working full time and trying to maintain a social life, so as I said, something had to give and unfortunately, both my blogging and social media activity took a backseat.
What I learnt from this however, is that I definitely need to learn how to prioritise so I can keep up with all my commitments. I never thought I was disorganised before, but having now gone through this experience I'm also resolving to be more organised! I also learnt that sometimes it's nice to take a social media break and just concentrate on offline relationships and actually meet up with friends and family!
So completing my exams and assignments, going back to part-time at work and after a long (well-needed!) hibernation/ friends marathon I'm back!
Has anyone taken a blogging break? How did you deal with it?

Resolutions and Goals for 2018
Tuesday 2 January 2018 • Other
WELCOME TO 2018!! I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and New Year Period and that it was refreshing (even if too many wines were consumed! I know in my household there were!!). Fresh year, fresh focus. I personally don't like the idea of "new year, new me", I don't think you need to change yourself just because it's a new year. I think resolutions are a way to tweak things you do in your life and or set goals to achieve. I also believe that its important to recognise and highlight things you are already doing well in and resolve to continue such things.
Once I've set resolutions, I also like to set mini milestones towards achieving those main resolutions. Maybe I'm weird, but I just like to feel like I'm moving in the right direction!
I thought I'd share a few of mine with you, I try not to set too many. I usually only go for 2/3 but since I'm now blogging, I thought I'd make some blogging resolutions too! So there's a mixture of personal and blogging below...
i. Complete Masters and find a Graduate job- currently doing my Marketing masters so I'd like to find a graduate job in the Marketing arena.
ii. Continue to blog once a week- I usually blog once a week and on a Sunday evening, and so far I've been able to keep this up, so I'm resolving to continue this.
iii. Get to goal weight before I'm 25- for those who don't know, I've been on a bit of a weightloss journey with Weightwatchers and so far I've lost 4 st 10lbs. I have a further 12lbs to goal and I'd like to reach this before my 25th birthday.
iv. Try to exercise once a week- I suppose technically this goes hand in hand with the above goal, but I'm useless at exercising. I have a gym membership, but I rarely go. I'm going to try to go once a week.
v. Try to have 3/4 blog posts scheduled at a time- fairly obvious I'd like to think but I can be quite disorganised- and I need to be organised working two jobs and doing a full time masters course!
vi. Squeeze in some travelling- hopefully to somewhere new!
So there's mine... Do you have any resolutions? Do you like setting resolutions and or mini milestones? Let me know!
XOXO Molly
