The End of Camping Season 2022
Friday 23 September 2022 • Lifestyle, Other, Travel
Annnnd just like that, it's the end of summer and cosy season is officially starting. Which also means it draws camping season to a close for 2022. At least for us! We are planning some camping potentially in October (weather dependent), but we will definitely starting again in March/ April next year.
This sadly, also brings to a close, my camping content for this year. Next year I'll be reviewing our brand new tent, more campsites and giving more hints, tips and tricks for camping.
Over the winter months, I'll be shifting focus back to my older style content, cosy nights in, what to watch, cocktail and food recipes alongside reviews. Keep your eyes peeled!

Eco Caerhys Camping Review
Tuesday 20 September 2022 • Travel
Last year, myself and Liz decided to go camping and selected Eco Caerhys Camping in Haverfordwest, which overlooks Abereiddy Bay and the Blue Lagoon. We had such a good time last year, we decided to take my boyfriend, Matt, and Liz's husband, Ollie, this year! Find my full review of the campsite below:
Pros
- Super friendly owners - Leanne and Caz are the loveliest people ever. I've kept in touch with Leanne over Instagram since we stayed in 2021, and during their rounds of the campsite she and Caz are always on hand to give advice on where to go/ where to eat etc. Caz even helped us start our fire last year as we just couldn't make it work!
- You pitch around the outside of the field, meaning easy access to the loos and showers aswell as seeing the spectacular views. You can also park next to your pitch... always a win for me!
- Great Facilities - Ok, considering my love/hate relationship with camping toilets, you'll be surprised to hear that I really rate the loos at Eco Caerhys despite them being portaloos. They're really well maintained, Caz and Leanne maintain them regularly throughout the day and you're never without loo roll! The showers are lovely and hot, and this year they have added an additional changing area which is ace.
- Overlooks Abereiddy Bay and the Blue Lagoon, which means absolutely stunning views. The instagrammers dream!
Cons
- Portaloos - You'll note that above I said the portaloos really aren't bad and are well maintained but I still prefer a proper flushing loo!
Overall
I absolutely loved our stay at Eco Caerhys campsite and would definitely return again.
Overall, I award Eco Caerhys campsite, 5 tents out of 5!
