So this is a bit of a new type of post for me, I don't usually do the whole favourite this favourite whatever, but I thought I'd share my top 10 cities that I've been to and really fallen in love with! Travelling is one of my main passions, and I should really do more of it, but real life calls and travelling and exploring isn't always possible. I plan on using my annual leave much wiser next year, to maximise the time I can spend travelling. So without further ado, my top ten cities that I've visited are:
10. Belfast, Northern Ireland
It's been a while since I last visited Belfast. It's on my list of places to go back to. However, last time I went, I was at uni and on tour (with trampolining- the natural gymnast that I am LOL). I'm gutted as I missed out on key sights such as Titanic Belfast, Crumlin Road Gaol and The Giant's Causeway. I just fell in love with the city!
9. Barcelona, Spain
Barcelona will always be a special place for me, as I went twice whilst one of my best friends, Amy, lived there. Read my reviews here and here.
8. Las Vegas, United States
I only recently went to Las Vegas, but I loved the glitz and glamour of it all. I really enjoyed seeing the Grand Canyon, and appearing twice on stage with the Chippendales! I'd love to go back to make more memories! Read my review here.
7. Seoul, South Korea
I may have mentioned (just once or twice, lol) that I used to live in South Korea. Although I didn't spend much time in Seoul itself, the times I did go.. I loved it. Visiting the DMZ, was a huge eye opener, going to see the Black Eyed Peas with my family at the Olympic Park, staying at the Ritz Carlton in Gangnam (the place in which the song Gangnam Style was penned about).. so many good memories!
6. Queenstown, New Zealand
I loved Queenstown. My family and I did a four week tour of NZ when I was younger and we loved Queenstown. We went on the Shotover Jet a fair few times, it was so thrilling (we did it before Wills and Kate made it famous fyi, OG trendsettahs). Queenstown is lovely, and has some great restaurants!
5. Sydney, Australia
Sydney is another place I visited with my family. We stayed in the Blue Mountains, and popped down to Sydney a few times. It's a fab city filled with lots of remarkable things to see and do!
4. London, UK
London is just full of things to do. I used to live super close (35 mins by train), and I used to pop up most weekends. I love playing the tourist in London, seeing all the sights and doing touristy things. Plus, the restaurants are incredible and provide some of the best food in the world!
3. Shanghai, China
Shanghai is a magical place. Living behind the the big three buildings (whilst witnessing the fourth being built) which shape the Pu-Dong skyline was great. I was able to go clubbing at 16, with open bar being a mere tenner (shout out to Sky and Murals the best clubs about back then!) and the markets were brilliant. A fantastic life experience for me.
2. Salisbury, UK
Despite being Novichok hit and the centre stage for the worlds news outlets for a small while, my quaint little adopted hometown of Salisbury will always hold a special place in my heart. I love the quirkiness and artisan independent shops, restaurants and cafes and it's just a place which holds many memories for me!
1. Busan, South Korea
Busan has got to be my favourite place in the world. I essentially grew up there. We moved out when I was 10, and I got to watch the place evolve year on year (last time I visited was 2 years ago, when I was 24). When we first moved, it was much less developed, and it's now a buzzing metropolitan city! I love the fact you can be stood on Haeundae beach, staring at the mountains with the city to your right. It's incredible.
Have you been to any of these cities? What did you make of them? What is your favourite city in the world? I'd love to know!
XOXO Molly
